Background

In May, 2009, the Townships of East Marlborough, West Marlborough, and Newlin applied to Chester County to receive grant funding through the Vision Partnership Program to prepare a regional comprehensive plan. The County agreed to provide funding for this collaborative effort between the three townships and Chester County, which will ultimately result in a comprehensive plan document that will help guide future land use decisions for the region.

Defining the Vision

An important first step in the planning process involves setting goals and priorities that will steer the development of the plan. The planning consulting firm Glackin Thomas Panzak, Inc. has been selected by the three townships to guide them through this process and assist in the preparation of the comprehensive plan document.
